Snow in March!

I didn't believe it before but it's true, March is the snowiest month in Colorado! It's kind of nice though, it's really not that cold and it melts really fast.

It's supposed to be 50 degrees tomorrow-yay! Come on spring!

Thrift store find # 2

I found this cute little table at a thrift store for $2.50. It was a little wobbly and the top was painted a pinkish color. With a little tightening of the screws and some bright yellow paint it's now a whole new table! I love yellow, so bright and cheery.

Auggie's Birthday

This weekend I went to Kansas to go to my friend Kristi's little boy's first birthday. It was great to see everybody, especially the little cutie, Auggie.

I have always wanted to find the time to go to garage sales and thrift stores to find little treasures and furniture that I could refinish. I have finally found the time!

One of my favorite colors is turquoise, for years I have wanted to find turquoise lamps for our bedroom. They are always over my budget so I have never bought any of the lamps that I see online or at stores.

This is the look I'm going for with turquoise lamps, I like the bold statement they make.

Well, I decided to make my own perfect turquoise lamps! I found these lamps at a thrift store the other day for $2.50 each--yay!!

Off to Walmart for a little can of turquoise enamel paint and new lamp shades and voila!!

I like mine even more than the store bought ones!

Spring is coming!

Today was a clear, sunny and beautiful 50 degree day! yay! I'm so excited for blooming, spring and everything to turn green!

I didn't take these pics but I wanted you guys to see the view from many parts of Longmont that we see everyday of Longs Peak. It's gorgeous! I've tried to capture it with my camera but it just looks so tiny and far away.

I am loving all of the open space here. No offense to California but after being around so many people for many years it's nice to be here where there's lots of open fields, it really reminds me of growing up in Kansas which most of you know I have very fond memories of! ;)
