Thailand & Cambodia

We had a wonderful honeymoon in Thailand & Cambodia! We did everything from swimming with elephants to taking a Thai cooking course! It was an amazing adventure! Thank you so much to all of our friends and family who made our adventure possible with our wedding registry! We now have memories that will last a lifetime!

We were so lucky to have our good friends Matt & Shannon along with us, it was really nice to have another couple to travel with. We started out in Bangkok for a couple of days of sightseeing. Then we took an overnight train to Chiang Mai. In Chiang Mai we went river rafting & mountain biking through the jungle and we took a Thai cooking class. After Chiang Mai we flew to Phnom Peng, Cambodia for 1 night and then took a bus to Siem Reap, Cambodia to see Angkor Wat. It was really amazing.

At Wat Pho

The Reclining Buddha, it is 150 feet long!

After enjoying one of many amazing massages. I love Thai massage, they stretch you out so much it's like doing yoga-but even more relaxing!

Delicious soup on the street

The night market in Chiang Mai

At our cooking class, a highlight of the trip!

First we went to the market to buy ingredients.

Then we chopped...
Then we used a mortar and pestle to grind
Delicious Tom Yum Goong (Hot & Sour Soup)
Finally we enjoyed our delicious dinner!

At Wat Suthep in Chiang Mai

On our motorbike (or as Joe would say, "our hog")
This form of transportation took me a little getting used to.
Thai fisherman-no pants!
Our "family hut" in Siem Reap
the living room-I love how there is barely any furniture and they sit on the floor. That would make moving a lot easier!!

Fall Leaves

Joe and I had a nice day off from the pumpkin patch yesterday. We went to Loose Park and took some pics of fall leaves and some dorky senior photo type pics of each other.

We went to the rose garden at Loose Park, it smelled really nice.
